Kigali city tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Gorilla Trekking & Transfer Back to Kigali
Rise early for breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. You will then begin your trek through the lush rainforest in search of one of the park's habituated mountain gorilla families. The duration of the trek varies depending on the gorillas' location, but every step is rewarded by the extraordinary opportunity to spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After returning from the trek, enjoy lunch before departing for Kigali. Arrive in the late afternoon and check in at your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Transfer to Akagera National Park for Game Drive & Boat Safari
Following breakfast, depart Kigali for Akagera National Park, Rwanda's only savannah national park and home to the Big Five. Upon arrival, begin an exciting game drive through diverse landscapes of open plains, woodlands, wetlands, and lakes, where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and, if fortunate, lions and rhinos. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Ihema. The lake offers excellent opportunities to spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a remarkable variety of birdlife, making it one of the park's wildlife highlights. Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

5Day 5
Full-Day Game Drive & Night Game Drive
After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day safari exploring the northern and central sectors of Akagera National Park, where wildlife sightings are often at their best. Keep your camera ready as your expert guide searches for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, various antelope species, and the park's predators, including lions and, with some luck, elusive leopards. Return to the lodge for dinner before heading back into the park for a guided night game drive. This unique experience offers the chance to encounter nocturnal wildlife such as hyenas, civets, bush babies, genets, and other fascinating animals that emerge after sunset.

6Day 6
Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Kigali for Departure

This is a wonderful chance to spot animals you may have missed during previous game drives while soaking in the breathtaking scenery of Akagera one last time. After the game drive, begin your journey back to Kigali. Depending on your departure schedule, your driver-guide will transfer you directly to Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight, bringing your memorable Rwanda safari to a close.
