Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today, after your morning breakfast at your accommodation in Kigali or upon arrival in the city you will be picked up and begin your scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and sanctuary for the endangered mountain gorillas. The drive will take you through beautiful landscapes and rural countryside as you continue into the southern reaches of Bwindi. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and take some time to rest and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will embark on an enriching cultural experience with a visit to the Batwa community one of Uganda’s oldest Indigenous forest-dwelling groups. During the visit, you will witness traditional music and storytelling, and gain insight into the Batwa’s ancestral survival skills and cultural heritage that have been passed down through generations. After the visit, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
