In the afternoon, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver guide for pick up in Kigali before departing on a scenic drive toward Gishwati-Mukura National Park. The journey takes you through Rwanda’s breathtaking countryside, characterized by rolling green hills, rural villages, and panoramic landscapes that beautifully reflect the country’s reputation as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Along the way, you may enjoy optional stopovers for photography and short breaks while admiring the scenery.

As you approach the Gishwati area, the landscape gradually transforms into lush forest and tea plantation surroundings, offering a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and spend the rest of the evening relaxing while enjoying the tranquility of the forest environment. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will head for a memorable boat excursion on Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s most beautiful freshwater lakes. During the boat trip, you will explore several scenic islands while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, fishing villages, and peaceful lakeside communities. The excursion may include visits to islands such as Napoleon Island, famous for its colony of fruit bats, along with other small islands known for their natural beauty and unique local history. The calm waters and stunning scenery provide excellent opportunities for relaxation, photography, and birdwatching.

After the boat excursion and lunch, you will begin your scenic drive back to Kigali. Depending on the available time, optional short stopovers may be made along the way for refreshments or last-minute shopping. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for departure or to your hotel
