1Day 1
Transfer to Akagera National Park and Boat Cruise at Lake Ihema
On this day, you will be picked up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport and then transferred in the afternoon to Akagera National Park, approximately 2.5 hours from Kigali. Upon arrival, you will complete park registration and later proceed to Lake Ihema for a scenic boat cruise in Lake Ihema. The cruise offers excellent opportunities to spot aquatic animals like hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds and other animals along the shores. After the boat ride, transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

2Day 2
Full Day Game Drive
Today, after breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari driver guide from your accommodation and embark on a full-day game drive through Akagera National Park in search of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, topis, waterbucks, and many bird species. Enjoy a lunch break inside the park before continuing your safari through different wildlife-rich areas. After that, return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

3Day 3
Morning Game Drive and Return to Kigali
Enjoy an early breakfast followed by a final morning game drive, offering another opportunity to spot wildlife when animals are most active. After the game drive, exit the park and begin your journey back to Kigali. Depending on your schedule, you may enjoy a short city tour before being dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your Akagera safari adventure.
