1Day 1
Transfer from Kigali to Akagera for Game Drive and Transfer to Volcanoes N.P.
Upon early morning and After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from hotel in Kigali and transfer you to Akagera National Park, Rwanda's only savannah national park, a scenic drive of approximately 2.5 hours. Upon arrival, begin your exciting game drive through the park in search of wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and, with a bit of luck, lions and rhinos. Around midday, you will enjoy approximately one hour for lunch at one of the park's restaurants before continuing your game drive. After lunch, proceed with your safari as you make your way through the park, exiting via the Northern Gate, which offers additional opportunities to spot wildlife along the route.
Upon exiting the park, continue your scenic journey across Rwanda's rolling hills to Volcanoes National Park. On arrival, check in to your lodge, enjoy dinner, and relax in preparation for the following day's unforgettable gorilla trekking experience.

Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for a briefing by park rangers before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure. The trek may take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the assigned gorilla family. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat while learning about their behavior and conservation. After gorilla trekking, return to the lodge for lunch before driving back to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Rwanda safari.
