Transfer to Rubavu Lake Kivu.
Today, after your relaxed breakfast, you will be picked up by our professional driver guide from your hotel in Kigali for a scenic transfer to Rubavu Lake Kivu. The journey takes you through Rwanda’s breathtaking countryside, offering spectacular views of the rolling hills, lush green landscapes, and vibrant local communities that give Rwanda its unique charm as the Land of a Thousand Hills. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to observe daily rural life, pass through local villages, and enjoy several scenic viewpoints ideal for photography and relaxation. Depending on your interests and available time, optional stopovers can be arranged at local markets, craft centers, or cultural sites.
Upon arrival at Lake Kivu, you will check in at your lodge, enjoy your lunch, and relax in the tranquil atmosphere of one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and peaceful lakeside scenery. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Morning coffee experience with a boat trip at Lake Kivu and transfer to Kigali
After breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed for the memorable Kimbili Coffee Experience located along the beautiful shores of Lake Kivu. This authentic experience offers a unique opportunity to discover Rwanda’s renowned coffee culture while interacting with local coffee farmers and learning about the entire coffee production process from cultivation to the final cup. You will walk through the coffee plantation, observe the harvesting and processing methods, and gain insight into the traditional and modern techniques used to produce high quality Rwandan coffee. The experience concludes with a freshly brewed coffee tasting session while enjoying the peaceful lakeside atmosphere and stunning surrounding scenery.
Thereafter, enjoy a relaxing boat trip on Lake Kivu while returning to the Rubavu town, where you will cruise across the calm waters of one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes. During the excursion, you will admire breathtaking views of the rolling hills, nearby islands, fishing villages, and local communities living along the shoreline. The boat ride also offers excellent opportunities for photography and relaxation while experiencing the tranquil beauty of the region.
