Early in the morning, your safari driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence in Kigali at around 5:00 AM and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park, approximately 2.5 hours away. Upon arrival, you will register at the park headquarters and attend a briefing by park rangers before beginning your hike. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will trek through bamboo forests, montane vegetation, and volcanic slopes in search of the summit of Mount Bisoke. The hike typically takes about 6-7 hours round trip, depending on fitness level and trail conditions.
