Your Day Safari in Detail
Today, you will be picked up by your safari driver-guide from your accommodation in Kigali at around 5:00 AM and depart for a day trip to Akagera National Park, located approximately 2.5 hours from Kigali. Akagera is Rwanda’s only savannah national park and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, topis, lions, and rhinos. Upon arrival, you will complete park registration before embarking on an exciting game drive in search of these animals as well as numerous bird species. You will enjoy a lunch break inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive through different wildlife-rich areas. At around 4:00 PM, you will exit the park and begin your journey back to Kigali, arriving in the evening and being dropped off at your accommodation.
